Introduction

If you haven’t seen the unboxing and initial setup, you can get it here.

Well, its time to do an in-depth review of my new server, the Intel NUC DN2820FYKH.

First, the spec list (dust hahah):

  • Intel Celeron N2830 @ 2.16GHz, 2.39GHz Turbo
  • 4GB Crucial DDR3L-1600 1.35V (not included)
  • 120GB Kingston SSDNow V300 (not included)
  • Intel 7260hmw bn WiFi card (included)
  • 12V, 3A, 36W Power Brick for UK, US, Europe and Australia

As with all Intel NUC’s, this is a barebones system. That means you have to get your own RAM and 2.5″ storage drive, but its great that Intel provide a basic WiFi card to start you off.

When selecting RAM, you needneed, need to make sure you get DDR3L 1.35V. Normal 1.5V RAM won’t work.
